With your support, we donate 100% of net profits to environmental initiatives through The Nature Conservancy

At Tellus, we believe business can be a force for good. That's why we created GiveBack100™ — our commitment to give 100% of our net profits to environmental conservation and restoration.

We're a small outdoor brand with a big purpose, and we believe in being transparent about how our giving works, where the money goes and the difference we're working to make.

What does giving 100% of net profits actually mean?

It doesn't mean we donate 100% of every purchase. Revenue from our products covers the costs of making our gear and running Tellus — from materials and manufacturing to our team, shipping and everyday operations.

Once those expenses are covered, what's left is our net profit. Through GiveBack100™, we commit 100% of that profit to environmental conservation and restoration.

How much has Tellus actually given?

Since 2024, we've contributed nearly $70,000 to The Nature Conservancy, supporting conservation and restoration efforts that protect the places we love to explore.

From our beginning, we’ve built annual giving to The Nature Conservancy into our budget. Those contributions are a starting point, not a limit. As Tellus grows, our goal is to grow our giving, too.

Where does the money go?

Through The Nature Conservancy, our contributions support three conservation initiatives:

  • Reforestation in Colorado
  • Coral reef protection around the world
  • Land and water conservation across the United States

And here's where you come in. At checkout, every customer can vote for the cause that matters most to them. At the end of each year, we tally those votes and use the results to determine how our annual contribution is divided among the three programs.

As of our most recent contribution in February 2026, our customers have helped direct $69,000 in giving:

  • 40% — Reforestation in Colorado: $27,600
  • 36% — Coral Reef Protection: $24,840
  • 24% — Land and Water Conservation: $16,560

Does my purchase actually make a difference?

Yes! Every purchase helps us grow a business built around a bigger purpose: making high-quality outdoor gear while giving back to the places that inspire us.

Your purchase isn't a direct donation, but it helps make our conservation contributions possible. And your vote at checkout helps determine where those dollars go.

You choose the adventure. You help choose the cause. Together, we give back.

A small team. A big purpose.

Tellus is a small, independently owned business run by five people — two owners and three employees.

We're a hands-on team doing everything from developing products and running our store to packing orders, connecting with customers and getting involved in our community.

Our owners don't take a salary or any type of compensation from Tellus. Instead, they're working alongside our team to build a business with a purpose bigger than ourselves.

We know the apparel industry has an environmental impact. That's one reason GiveBack100™ is so important to us, and why we focus on making durable, high-quality gear using recycled and organic materials, designed to be worn, loved and used for years to come.

We're building Tellus around a simple belief: the more successful we become, the more good we can do.

Adventure With Purpose. That's what Tellus is all about.
