Tellus was born from a shared commitment to community, conservation and responsible adventure.
Co-founders Joe and Melissa met while serving in the Peace Corps, working in some of the most remote and underserved communities. Their experiences reinforced one truth:

Founded in Fort Collins, Colorado—Tellus is surrounded by open spaces, wildlife habitat and public lands—places that remind us daily why our work matters.
At Tellus, we don’t pretend to have all the answers, but we do put thought into every step of the process: from selecting mills and factories to choosing fabrics that are lighter on the planet or that convert waste into something useful. For us, sustainability isn’t a marketing label — it’s a challenge we take seriously every day.
All Tellus, we design eco-friendly outdoor gear made with recycled or organic materials that keep waste out of oceans and landfills, use fabrics from bluesign® certified mills that operate without harmful chemicals or wasted energy and outerwear with PFC-free finishes.
